EASTER AND FLORES EARN DIVISION II ALL-AMERICA HONORS
Become Fifth and Sixth Pioneer All-Americans in Last Six Seasons

DENTON, Tex. – Texas Woman's University softball season may be over, but the honors keep coming. Junior catcher Stefani Easter (Troy, TX) and senior shortstop Teresa Flores (Corpus Christi, TX) earned 2004 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-America Second and Third Team, respectively.

The three All-America teams were selected by NCAA Division II head coaches representing all eight regions. Easter and Flores were both selected to the All-South Central Regional First Team and the Lone Star All-Conference First Team.

Easter becomes the third TWU catcher in as many seasons to earn a spot on the All-America squad. She spent the 2003 season behind Diamond Catcher of the Year Jami Ingram - a two-time All-America selection. Easter led her 2004 Pioneers with 12 home runs and ranked second with a .394 batting average, 67 hits, 46 RBIs and 12 doubles with 53 starts behind the plate.

Flores caps off a stellar four-year career at TWU with her selection to the All-America Third Team at the competitive shortstop position. The 2004 Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Year led the team with a .484 batting average, 92 hits, 21 doubles, 10 triples and 57 RBIs. Flores ends her career with sole possession of 25 school records and sharing another seven TWU records for batting and fielding.

Easter and Flores become the fifth and sixth TWU softball players to earn All-America honors in the last six seasons. She joins Ingram (2002 & 2003), Sascha Taylor (2002 & 2003), Nickie Engelbrecht (1999 & 2001) and Cathy Jacobson (1999).
