COLLINS NAMED TO NCAA REGIONAL ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
TWU Third Baseman Hit Two Home Runs in South Central Regional

DENTON, Tex. – Texas Woman’s University senior third baseman Jennifer Collins (Forney, TX) earned a spot on the NCAA South Central Region All-Tournament Team with her two home runs in TWU’s two Regional games over the weekend.

Collins started off the Pioneer offense against Tarleton State in the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, which was matched by teammate Stefani Easter in TWU’s next at-bat. Collins then tied up the Pioneers’ second game with Colorado-Colorado Springs at 1-all when she hit a home run over the left field fence. TWU was eventually eliminated from the tournament by UCCS, who won the game 2-1.

Collins was also named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament Team and earned All-Conference Second Team honors. She finished the season ranked fourth on the team with a .331 batting average, and third with 39 RBIs, 11 doubles and seven home runs.
