2004:
Rachel Goddard tied the school record on floor exercise,
scoring a 9.95 during a tri-meet with Air Force
and nationally-ranked BYU on Feb. 28…had shattered her
personal best on the balance beam the week before with a 9.85
score at Centenary… competed as an all-arounder at the
Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 17, posting a career-best 38.075
to place seventh overall…missed two weeks due to injury,
but returned to score a then-personal best 9.80 on beam in
San Jose on Feb. 6…the Pioneers’ top performer
on floor (9.80) and beam (9.825) during a March 7 dual meet
at No. 10 Oklahoma…named to Who’s Who Among Students
in American Universities & Colleges.
2003: Competed in
the Pioneers first seven meets, earning a spot in the balanced
beam line-up in every meet and five rotations on the floor...recorded
a personal best 9.675 on the beam versus Bridgeport on February
15.
2002: Tied for first in the USAG National Championships
Team Prelims with a 9.800 on vault... competed as an all-arounder
in three meets...recorded season and career-highs of 9.800
on vault, 9.750 on bars, 9.500 on beam, 9.775 on floor and
37.950 in the all-around...ranked No. 3 on vault and No.
24 on floor in the USAG going into the national championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Dunbarton H.S.
in Pickering, Ontario... competed for Winstonettes Gymnastics
Club from 1995-2001...member
of the gold medal winning Level 9 Provincial Tour Team and
also won the all-around at the Gemini Cup held in Oldsmar,
Fla. during the 1995-96 season...team captain of the Ontario
National Tour Team during the 1997-98, 1999-2000 and 2000-2001
seasons which finished first in the team competition at the
Canadian National Championships...enjoyed her most successful
individual season in 1999-2000 when she finished first on
vault at two meets, the Tour Selection Meet and the Gemini
Cup...had
a string of four top 10 finishes at the Canadian Provincial
Championships, dating from 1998...a four-year honor roll
student at Dunbarton High School.
PERSONAL: A kinesiology major...likes
to watch movies, spend time with family and friends and shop.
