2008: Will be a co-captain (along with senior Courtney Arno-Templet) for the Pioneers.
2007: Competed on three events - vault, bars, and floor - in every meet for the Pioneers…vault was her most consistent event, as she had a season average score of 9.60 and a RQS of 9.755…had five vaults that scored a 9.750 or better…recorded a season-high (and career-high) vault score of 9.825 on 3/10/07 versus Bowling Green, Kentucky, and SEMO…won the vault competition at two meets, 2/17 versus Boise State, Illinois State, and Illinois Chicago and 2/24 at SEMO…was steady on bars with an average score of 9.232…scored a season (and career) high 9.650 on bars in the USAGNC Team Finals on 4/20…had four scores of 9.70 or better on floor and an average floor score of 9.453…registered a season-high floor score of 9.725 on two occasions, 2/17 versus Boise State, Illinois State, and Illinois-Chicago and 3/16 at Arizona…was a member of the Pioneers’ beam lineup on four occasions…best beam score of the year (and for her career) was a 9.650 on 2/24 at SEMO…competed as an all-arounder four times, and won the all-around competition on 1/12 at BYU with a 35.800 score…an All-MIC second-team selection on both vault and floor...picked as a 2007 USAG Scholar-Athlete…also chosen for the 2007 All-MIC Scholastic team and the 2006-07 NACGC/W Academic All-America team.
2006: A fixture in the lineup for three events - vault, beam, and floor exercise - during her sophomore season at TWU...vaulted in every meet for the Pioneers, averaging a 9.532 score...top vault mark was a 9.80 at Oklahoma on 3/3/06...Dependable scorer on beam as well, averaging a 9.495 for the season with a high score of 9.650 at Utah State on 2/10/06...finished with a 9.382 average on the floor exercise, with a season-best 9.80 at the 2006 MIC Championship meet on 3/25/06...Strong effort on vault (9.650) and floor (9.725) at the 2006 USAG National meet on 4/13/06...Competed, and finished eighth (with a 9.550 score), in the individual finals on vault at the 2006 USAG National meet...elected to the second-team All-MIC conference...a MIC Scholar-Athlete.
2005: Nicole Poling competed on three events, vault, beam and floor, in her first season...posted a season-best score of 9.700 on the beam in the team record effort against Utah State...also had her best scores of the season on the vault (9.750) and floor (9.775) versus the Aggies...competed on the vault and beam at the USAG Championships...named a National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women Scholastic All-American...a MIC Scholar-Athlete.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Mountain View High School in 2004...a 2003 Junior Olympic National qualifier who led her club team to a Colorado State Championship...a two-year letterwinner in gymnastics...won the 5A All-Around state championship...named the Northern Conference’s Athlete of the Year after earning all-conference honors on the vault, bars and all-around...member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: An biology major...the daughter of Dave and Kathy Poling...hobbies include piano, shopping, dancing, singing and having fun with friends.
