DENTON, Texas – Texas Woman’s University head gymnastics coach Frank Kudlac announced that three incoming freshman recruits have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Pioneer gymnastics squad.

Jennifer Kingsbury is a three-time Missouri State Champion for Levels 6, 7 and 9 on the uneven bars, and placed 10th at Westerns National on bars. She was voted the 2003 Most Insprational Gymnast and won the 110% Award for GymQuarters Gymnastics Center, which also produced current Pioneer Bethany Rehm. Kingsbury attends Parkway South High School and is the daughter of James and Lori Kingsbury of Ballwin, Missouri.

Five-foot Amanda Ohnoutka has competed for Nebraska Gold Gymnastics Club in Omaha for 12 years. She was a two-time Level 10 regional qualifier, a three-time Level 9 regional qualifier and twice advanced to Level 9 Westerns National. An excellent student, Ohnoutka has a 4.09 GPA at Millard North High School and has already been accepted into the TWU honors program as a Kinesiology major. She is the daughter of Terry and Katherine Ohnoutka of Omaha.

Nicole Poling is a 2003 Junior Olympic National qualifier who led her club team at GK’s Gymnastics in Fort Collins to a Colorado State Championship. Poling was also a two-year letterwinner at Mountain View High School. She won the 5A All-Around state championship and was named the Northern Conference’s Athlete-of-the-Year after earning all-conference honors on the vault, bars and all-around. She is the daughter of Dave and Kathy Poling of Loveland, Colo.

“I am excited about this talented group of gymnasts who have chosen to come to Texas Woman’s University,” Kudlac said. “I feel confident that these ladies will make an immediate impact on our program.”

The TWU gymnastics program has won seven USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships and placed second in 2004.
