PIONEERS
GIVE STRONG PERFORMANCE AT OKLAHOMA
Bolli Records Two Personal Bests for Texas Woman’s
NORMAN,
Okla. – The Pioneer gymnasts gave it their
best Sunday during their regular season road finale at
No. 10 Oklahoma. Texas Woman’s scored a 193.325,
their highest score away from Kitty Magee Arena this year.
TWU
just missed tying its season-best on vault with a 48.625,
right behind the Sooners’ 48.775. Freshman Catherine
Rodriguez (Coppell, TX) continues to make steady
improvement week-to-week on the vault and scored a personal
best 9.8. Junior Jessica
Brozovich (Broomfield, CO) scored
a 9.85 and Jennifer Bolli (Rockwall, TX) tied
her career-high with a 9.65.
“This
was a good meet for us,” said TWU head coach Frank
Kudlac. “Catherine put up an outstanding
score for her on vault. I think performance-wise, this was
one of our best meets on floor as we hit six-for-six anchored
by Rachel Goddard (Scarborough, ONT).”
Goddard,
who tied the TWU school record on floor with a 9.95 last
weekend, scored a 9.8 to lead all Pioneers. She was also
the high scorer on beam with a 9.825. Bolli scored another
personal best on the day with a 9.8 on beam.
“This
was a nice way to finish our regular season away meets,” Kudlac
added. “Hopefully this will give us the momentum we
need going into our Senior Night on Friday.”
The
Pioneers will host No. 18 Missouri, Kentucky and Pennsylvania
for a quad meet on Friday, March 12 at Kitty Magee Arena.
As the regular season finale, TWU will honor its two seniors – Kristin
Frogge (Cypress, TX) and Dana
Giametta (Brookshire,
TX).
