HAS CAREER NIGHT AT ARKANSAS
Pioneers Finish Strong; Place Fourth at Quad Meet
FAYETTEVILLE,
Ark. –Texas Woman’s University junior
gymnast Lauren Kondikoff (Mesquite, TX) scored
personal bests on the floor exercise (9.85) and vault (9.725)
during Friday night’s quad meet at 20th-ranked Arkansas.
TWU
placed fourth as a team with 192.525, a season-best away
from home. The host Lady Backs won with a score of 196.625,
followed by Southeast Missouri State’s score of 194.675.
USAG rival Centenary finished third with a team score of
193.625.
The
Pioneers finished strong on their final rotation – the
uneven bars. Freshman Mickey McNeel (Vancouver, WA) and
senior Dana Giametta (Brookshire, TX) both
scored a 9.7 on the bars. Sophomores Amber
McMeans (Hurst, TX) and Bethany
Rehm (St. Charles,
MO) each posted a 9.8, while junior Erin
MacNabb (Glenwood, MD) finished the line-up with
a 9.825. Freshman Thecla Gavin (Peoria, IL) did
not score on the bars, but still earned a career-high 9.65
for the night.
The
Pioneers continue on the road with a dual meet at No. 10
Oklahoma on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. They return to Kitty Magee
Arena on Friday, March 12 to host Kentucky, Missouri and
Pennsylvania for a 7 p.m. meet.
