WINS BID TO CO-HOST 2004 USA GYMNASTICS COLLEGIATE NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Second time in school history that TWU will
host back-to-back USAG Collegiate National Championships
DENTON, TX—For the fourth time since
the Pioneer gymnastics team began competing in the championships
sponsored by USA Gymnastics, formerly the United States
Gymnastics Federation, in 1987, Texas Woman’s University
will co-host the USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships
on April 8-10, 2004, with the Greater Denton Sports Commission.
TWU hosted the event in 1994, 1995 and 2003, walking away
with the national championship each year.
The
three-day meet will begin on Thursday, April 8 and run
through Saturday, April 10, 2004 during Easter Weekend. Event
