INKS FIVE NEW GYMNASTS FOR 2004 SQUAD
DENTON,
TXHead gymnastics coach of the 2003 USAG Collegiate
National Champions, Frank
Kudlac, announced the signing
of five new athletes to national letters of intent for
the 2003-2004 academic school year. The new athletes are Brenda
Campbell (Ravenna, NE/Ravenna HS), Mickey McNeel (Vancouver,
WA/ Mountain View H.S.), Brianne Phillips (Spring, TX/Klein
H.S.), Catherine Rodriguez (Coppell, TX/Coppell H.S.) and Courtney
Travis (San Antonio, TX/ Reagan H.S.).
All
five of these gymnasts are great competitors and come from
great high school and club teams. They each will add a lot
of depth to our team on every event and help us add an eighth
national title to the bookcase, Kudlac
said. These ladies are not just great gymnasts, but
good students as well and I am sure they will make the most
of their opportunities at Texas Woman's University.
Campbell

Nebraska Level 10 State Championships for three years. As

won her second all-around district championship, placed third
at the state championships and was named Gymnast-of-the-Year
by the Columbia newspaper. As a senior, she won her third
straight all-around district championship, placed seventh
in the all-around and was named Gymnast-of-the-Year for a
second consecutive season. McNeel was a Mountain View H.S.
