DENTON,
TXClose to 500 fans showed up and packed

Clowers (Garland, TX/South Garland H.S.) had the highest
finish for the Pioneers on the night when she scored a 9.775

events. The Pioneers' Jessica Brozovich (Broomfield, CO/Erie
H.S.) and Nakia Westbrook (Round Rock, TX/Round Rock
H.S.) tied for fifth place on vault with a score of 9.575.

beam with a team score of 49.050 while TWU struggled with a
46.775. Kelly Haggerty won the event with a 9.900 and was followed
in second place by her teammate Meredith Fricke, who scored
a 9.875. The Sooners finished off the dual meet with a 48.350
on floor exercise. Fricke and Patricia Aoki tied for the top
spot with a 9.900 while teammate Christy Gerard finished in
third with a 9.850. TWU scored a 47.600 on the floor and was
led by Lindsey Clowers, Luci Romberg (Foxfield, CO/Cherry
Creek H.S.) and Jonica Scott (Grand Prairie, TX/Bowie
H.S.) tying for fourth place with a 9.775.
Up
next, the Pioneers travel to Colorado Springs, Colo.,
to participate in the Rocky Mountain Open. TWU will face
three
opponents from the Air Force Academy, last year's USAG national
champion, University of California-Davis and Bowling Green.
The meet is scheduled for Saturday, January 25 and begins at
7 p.m. MST.
