2006: Appeared in 28 matches and 65 games during her first season at TWU...totaled 129 kills and was fifth on the team with 2.05 kills per game...also recorded 9 service aces, 60 digs, 29 total blocks (8 block solos and 21 block assists), and 156.5 points...best match of the season came in five-game loss on Oct. 14 vs. Cameron University when she tallied season-highs in kills (17), digs (14) and points (17.5)...had double-digit kills in four matches.
PRIOR TO TWU: King played one season the University of Texas-Brownsville...received NJCAA all-region honors…ranked 18th nationally in blocking percentage.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Kaufman High School in 2005...lettered in volleyball and track …played for the Texas Assault, Richland Juniors and Dallas Sting club teams…earned district 13-3A MVP honors as a senior…also named team MVP.
PERSONAL: Katie was born on April 24, 1987 and is the daughter of Jane King...a general studies major...enjoys swimming, movies and music.
