PRIOR TO TWU: Played two seasons (2005-06) at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas...2006 was a banner season for Loftis as she averaged 11.7 assists per game to help the Buccaneers to a fifth-place finish at the 2006 NJCAA National Volleyball Championships...received numerous individual honors for her outstanding play in 2006 as she was named to the All-Region 14 first-team and to the All-Tournament team at the Region 14 championship tournament...was also recognized as the Region 14 Setter of the Year, the Outstanding Setter at the 2006 NJCAA National Volleyball Championships and an honorable mention 2006 NJCAA All-American...academically, Loftis was a member of the Blinn College Athletic Honor Roll during all four of her semesters in Brenham.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played three years (2002-04) of varsity volleyball at Cedar Park (Texas) High School...with the Timberwolves, she earned two second-team All-District 14-5A selections and one team MVP award...played club volleyball for the Austin Juniors (1999-2002), Austin Metro (2003-04), and AIM (2005).
PERSONAL: Megan Emily was born on March 13, 1987 and is the daughter of Denise and David Loftis...a dental hygiene major...enjoys watching scary movies.
