SATURDAY START TIMES CHANGE FOR TWU/ACU
DENTON, Texas (March 7) - The continuing poor weather in Abilene has forced the start times of the Texas Woman’s University/Abilene Christian University softball games scheduled for Saturday, March 8, to be pushed back to 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
The Lone Star Conference South Division doubleheader was originally slated to be played at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. By starting later in the day, ACU officials are hopeful to give Wells Field, the home facility of the Wildcats, ample time to dry out following the large amounts of precipitation dumped on the West Texas town in the last few days.
Sunday’s series finale between the Pioneers and the Wildcats remains scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
