TWU WILL HELP THE MEAN GREEN “STRIKEOUT BREAST CANCER” TONIGHT

DENTON, Texas (March 12) – The North Texas softball team is hosting a "Strikeout Breast Cancer" game on Wednesday, March 12, when it plays Texas Woman’s University at Lovelace Stadium at 7 pm.

Instead of wearing the green of North Texas, the NT softball team will wear pink tops to show support and to raise awareness of breast cancer.

All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. In lieu of admission, the team is asking for donations. Fans will be able to purchase pink T-shirts at the stadium and support this worthwhile cause.

Additionally, North Texas will be hosting a "Play for Kay" doubleheader on April 2 against Northwestern State beginning at 3 p.m. The April 2nd game’s charity is Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the team will honor University of North Texas employee Kay Johnson for her commitment and dedication to the Mean Green Athletic Department.
