2007: Pitched in a team-high 27 games (starting 17) in her first season at TWU…finished the year with an 8-11 record and a 4.21 ERA…second amongst all TWU pitchers with eight wins, 73 strikeouts and 128.1 innings pitched…made a team-high 10 appearances in relief…opponents hit just .263 against her…on February 1, she earned a 2-0 shutout win over the University of the Incarnate Word by striking out six and scattering five hits in her first collegiate start…won both ends of a TWU doubleheader sweep over Texas Wesleyan University on April 4…fielded her position well with 33 assists, a 1.000 fielding percentage, and just 15 sacrifice bunts allowed.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three softball letters (2004-06) at Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine, Texas...set the Colleyville Heritage record for strikeouts (243) in a season as a sophomore in 2004...a member of the 2004 and 2005 Fort Worth Star-Telegram “Super Team”...voted as the 2005 District 5-5A Co-Pitcher of the Year...a member of Who’s Who in Sports, Who’s Who Among American High School Students and National Honor Society...also earned three academic letters (and was in the top 10% of her class) in high school...played two years of club softball for the Fort Worth Bat Busters.
PERSONAL: A psychology major, she enjoys music, movies, and playing hackey sack in her time away from the field...the daughter of Rick and Kathy Packer.
