PIONEER PRIDE AND PIZZA DAY SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, OCT. 6
Soccer team will host SWOSU at UNT Recreational Sports Fields
DENTON , Texas (Oct. 5) – On Friday, October 6, the Texas Woman’s University Pioneer soccer team will play host to the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. This is the first home game for the Pioneers (4-8-2) since September 17 and has been designated Pioneer Pride and Pizza Day. Fans attending the game are asked to wear maroon and support the Pioneers. Free pizza, courtesy of CiCi’s Pizza, will be given out to all fans (while supplies last).
This Lone Star Conference game will be played at the UNT Recreational Sports Fields. Originally, this matchup between the Pioneers and the Bulldogs was scheduled to be held at the brand new TWU Soccer Field. Construction and weather delays, however, have postponed the completion of the TWU field.
Additionally, the 2006 Maroon Out t-shirts for soccer will be on sale for just $5.00 apiece. Fans are urged to purchase their Maroon Out t-shirts and wear them on Sunday, October 15 when the Pioneers conclude their home schedule against rival Texas A&M Commerce.
