FIVE INDUCTED INTO TWU ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME

DENTON, Texas (April 25) – Three former Texas Woman’s University student-athletes, one former coach, and one former athletic trainer were inducted into the TWU Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday night at Hubbard Hall on the campus of Texas Woman’s University.

The Hall of Fame Class of 2008 was comprised of Dolores Copeland (1969-1976), eight years as the volleyball coach and one year as the basketball coach; Cathy Jacobson (1996-2000), softball; Kim (Koenig) Darling (1995-99), gymnastics; Ken Locker (1974-76), athletic trainer; and Nickie (Engelbrecht) Williams (1997-2001), softball.

“I am so pleased to welcome this wonderful group into our Hall of Fame,” said TWU Director of Athletics Chalese Connors. “All of five of these individuals are so richly deserving of this honor. Congratulations to each of them on this accomplishment.”
