COME SEND OFF THE PIONEER GYMNASTICS TEAM
DENTON, Texas (April 14) – All fans, friends, and supporters of the TWU Gymnastics team are invited to come send off the Pioneers on Tuesday, April 15, at 2:30 p.m. when they depart for Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana and the 2008 USA Gymnastics Women’s Collegiate National Championships.
The TWU gymnasts, coaches, and support staff will board their eastbound bus tomorrow afternoon in the parking lot adjacent to the tennis courts on the TWU Denton campus.
TWU head coach Frank Kudlac is hoping to see a few familiar faces on hand as the team bus is pulling out.
“I know it would mean a lot to our gymnasts and coaching staff if we had some of our supporters come out to wish us well before we head out,” said Kudlac. “This is the most exciting time of the year for our team and we want to share the experience with our fans.”
TWU gymnastics enthusiasts can also send good luck faxes to the Pioneers at their hotel in Shreveport via fax number 318-688-4557.
The Pioneers’ quest for their ninth USAG National Championship will begin on Thursday, April 17, with two team semifinal sessions. The team finals will be on Friday, April 18, and the individual event finals will take place on Saturday, April 19.
