TWU head gymnastics coach Frank Kudlac is encouraging fans to advantage of the opportunity to purchase their tickets early for Saturday night’s meet.
“Our facility seats 1,800 for gymnastics. It wouldn’t surprise me if this meet is a sell out,” said Kudlac. “It’s our home opener, we’ve got one the best teams in the country (OU) coming to town, and there’s going to be a live band playing.”
The dual meet is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena. However, fans will want to arrive early, as Brave Combo, Denton’s very own two-time Grammy Award winning band, will play a pre-meet concert beginning at 6:00 p.m. Brave Combo will stick around and continue to entertain fans between rotations of the meet.
Additionally, the first 150 fans that come through the Magee Arena doors for the Brave Combo performance and the meet will receive a free “Pioneer Proud” TWU Gymnastics t-shirt. The meet will also be Private Club Appreciation Night, as all private club gymnasts in eighth grade or below will receive free admission. All private club gymnasts in grades 9-12 will be admitted for just 10 cents.
