 Junior Kelsey Nixon (pictured) has been chosen by her teammates as this week's TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.). Nixon is a native of Marietta, Georgia and trained as a club gymnast at Cobb Challenger Gymnastics.
Nixon was selected by her teammates as the P.O.W. as recognition for her persistent effort in practice, her consistent improvement on all four events, and her unfailingly positive attitude.
"Kelsey is right on the cusp of breaking into our lineup on several events," said TWU head coach Frank Kudlac. "Injuries hampered her training in the fall, but, since returning from Christmas break, she has improved by leaps and bounds."
