 Sophomore Keri Miller has been chosen as this week's TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.). Miller is a local product from Richardson, Texas who trained at the Richardson Gymnastics club.
Miller (pictured) joined the TWU gymnastics team in the fall of 2006 as a walk-on. By competing regularly on bars during the 2007 season, Miller proved her value to the Pioneers' program and earned a scholarship for the 2007-08 school year. She has also garnered recognition from the TWU coaching staff for her consitently positive and selfless attitude.
"Keri is respectful to everyone in the program - teammates, coaches, trainers, staff. She always willing to help out her teammates, whether it's in the gym or with their schoolwork. Her "team first" demeanor is greatly appreciated by all of us," said TWU gymnastics head coach Frank Kudlac.
