 Freshman Jennifer Liberato (pictured) has been chosen by her teammates as this week's TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.). Liberato is a native of Malvern, Pennsylvania and trained at the AJS Pancott gymnastics club.
Competing just hours away from her hometown of Malvern, Pennsylvania, Liberato enjoyed the best weekend of her collegiate career in the Pioneers’ two meets at West Chester
(Pa.) University over the weekend of February 15-17.
On Friday, February 15, in a dual versus West Chester, she won the vault, floor, and all-around titles. Her 9.775 score on vault was a new career-high.
On Sunday, February 17, in a quad versus West Chester, Southern Connecticut State, and the University of Bridgeport, she claimed the floor exercise and all-around titles with career-high scores of 9.825 and 38.775.
“Jennifer was tremendous in West Chester,” said TWU head coach Frank Kudlac. “We gave her the opportunity to compete as an all-arounder and she made the most of it. It was exciting to see her win two all-around competitions in front of a large group of her family and friends.”
