 Senior Jennifer Kingsbury (pictured) has been chosen by her teammates as this week's TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.). Kingsbury is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and trained at the GymQuarters gymnastics club under the direction of former TWU Assistant Gymnastics coach Scott Cusimano.
Kingsbury has been one of the Pioneers' top performers on bars throughout the first half of the 2008 season. On Saturday, February 23, in TWU's dual meet win over Centenary College, she tallied a season-high 9.700 score on the event.
She has also emerged as probably the most vocal leader on the young Pioneer team.
"Jen is always so positive and so motivating," said TWU head coach Frank Kudlac. "Her energy and enthusiasm, both at meets and in practice, is contagious."
