 Sophomore Alexa Brennan (pictured) has been chosen by her teammates as this week's TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.). Brennan is a native of Centennial, Colorado and trained as a club gymnast at the Colorado Gymnastics Institute.
Brennan delivered the best performance of her young TWU career on Thursday, March 20, when she recorded a career-high beam score of 9.800 in the Pioneers' dual meet at Southeast Missouri State University.
"Alexa has been improving all season long," said TWU head coach Frank Kudlac. "She's been working hard for that high score and it was nice to see her get rewarded for her efforts in the meet at SEMO."
Brennan has also earned praise from her teammates and coaches for her oustanding work in the classroom and her consistently positive attitude in practice.
"She has made strides in every area this year, both in and out of the gym," explained Kudlac.
