Pioneer Post – March 10, 2008
Hello Pioneer Gymnastics Fans!
 It certainly has been an exciting week for the team! Due to all of the snow we received on Thursday (seven inches in Denton!), we were very concerned about making the flight out to Colorado on Friday morning, but we made it! We arrived in Denver on Friday, and had the afternoon to do homework and relax. We headed to Brittany’s house for dinner that evening. The team enjoyed a good dinner and some fun games at the Parker residence.
Everyone was excited for the meet on Saturday! There was a huge cheering section for TWU!! It’s awesome to have such supportive parents and friends! It was exciting to get to compete in Colorado my senior year! The beam team did an amazing job and got the momentum going for the team. The team hit seven for seven routines on beam! We then moved to floor and earned a very respectable team score. The team was on fire and it continued on vault. Bars was the last event, and the team finished strong! We got our second highest team score of the year (194.05)! It was a phenomenal meet! Everyone was extremely focused and did a great job of keeping the energy up throughout the entire meet. It was very exciting!
The team is ready to work hard this week in preparation for our last home meet of the season. Senior night (my last home meet!) is this Friday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m. in Pioneer Hall. Come cheer us on in our last home meet of the season!!!
