Pioneer Post – January 14, 2008
Hello Pioneer Gymnastics Fans!
Welcome back to another exciting week of TWU Gymnastics. After returning from a great start in Cancun, we faced another week of hard, intense practices before school officially began. We used this time to continue to work on our routines and gain confidence as we head into a promising season. The team is very enthusiastic to perform for all our Pioneer fans, this Saturday, January 19, in Kitty Magee Arena.
 We started the week off with a few more hard practices, but they paid off as Coach rewarded us with shorter practices towards the end of the week. On Thursday, the team volunteered for Hearts for Homes, a non-profit organization that helps to clean and maintain homes for the elderly. Our efforts that morning (pictured) were to help clean and organize their local warehouse which stores donations and other housing supplies.
We ended our week of two-a-days with a team dinner where we all enjoyed some much- needed relaxation before getting back into the gym and starting classes on Monday.
This weekend we face the University of Oklahoma in a dual meet, our first home meet of the competitive season. We are eager to continue to build off of our 190.9 start! Don’t forget to attend this weekend and help support your Pioneer Gymnastics team. Check back next week to see how we did!
