Pioneer Post - November 5, 2007
Hello Pioneer Gymnastics Fans!
 My name is Tonya Pipkorn and I am a junior psychology/OT major. I am very excited about the team this year and I think we have a lot of potential. The team has been working very hard this past week with putting routines together and doing full sets on beam for the first time.
On Monday we had our annual trip to the Aubrey Pumpkin Patch (just north of Denton). We went on an exciting hayride and then got to pick out our pumpkins along with taking class pictures (the juniors are pictured at left) and a big team picture. After we had fun taking pictures with each other, we all sat down and talked about individual and team goals that we all had. We, as a team, decided that being cohesive and consistent were the main goals that we wanted to focus on. Being a cohesive team, like Brittany said in the last Pioneer Post, is one thing that we cherish on this team and something we work hard at.
The next day we came into the gym and had great energy and a great practice as a result. We have been working extremely hard putting “money in the bank” as Coach would say. I think we are ahead of the game and can’t wait for our intra squad meet which is right around the corner (22 more practice days).
