Pioneer Post - April 17, 2007
(Editor's Note: This is the first in a series of "Pioneer Posts" from Seattle, Washington detailing the TWU Pioneers experiences at the 2007 USAG National Championships)
Welcome Pioneer Fans!
This morning we all woke up ready to head to the Starbucks capital of the world with hopes to run into McDreamy from Gray’s Anatomy. Actually those are just side notes compared to the anticipation we all are experiencing as we enter the last meet of the season, the USAG Collegiate National Championships.
We began the morning with an early bus ride to the DFW airport; followed by a long plane ride to Seattle, Washington. Today’s main focus was traveling. We were in no hurry, but to find the relaxing beds at the hotel. We worked out the jet lag kinks as we stretched in the makeshift hotel lobby. Shortly after we all dined at the classic Subway for dinner. As a little extra motivation, one of the rooms we have assigned to our team is 212. And if you remember, 212 The Extra Degree has been our motto for the year. Coincidence????? I think not!
Today marked the beginning of an exciting adventure ahead of us. Everyone is pumped and ready. All of our hard work and dedication is about to pay off as we enter the 2007 USA Collegiate National Championships. This is the last time that the 2007 TWU Pioneers will compete on a unit, and as a team with tradition and pride we are here in search of our 9 th National Championship title. Our goal for this week to hit routines, look confident, and have fun, while we plan to return to Texas with no regrets.
Be sure to check back for the daily updates about the Pioneers. Thanks for all the support! GO PIONEERS!!
