Pioneer Post - January 22, 2007
 Hello everyone and welcome back! We are now in school and back to our regular practice schedule.
As mentioned in the last Pioneer Post (by Tonya Pipkorn), we have several injuries we are battling with right now. This has been an unexpected new challenge we have been faced with, but not a challenge that cannot be devoured and defeated by this team. This team is dealing with the hard times and coping with these changes well.
Observing this week’s practice, I have seen so much determination from the team and realized that being faced with these bumps and curves has inspired this team to work even harder to reach our goals. We have had to make changes in our line up and so a lot of hard work was put in this week and this challenge was handled very well during our meet against Brown University and Central Michigan University.
With the team behind each other, we finished the meet with a 189.725. This score did not beat Central Michigan, but was a four-point improvement from our last meet against BYU. There were many exciting things that happened and one of the most was the return of Catherine Schnoes and her contribution to the vault line-up. We had six solid beam routines and this is very exciting for the TWU gymnastics team to have so early on in the season.
