Pioneer Post - December 18, 2006
Hello Pioneer fans!
This was the last week for the team in 2006! Everyone was studying really hard for finals so we can keep our high team grade point average. Since we needed a little extra time to study, practice was optional this week. Most of the girls decided to come in and work out a little since it gave us a nice break from the stress of finals.
Even though the team is going its separate ways over break we will still continue to train in and out of the gym. Coach told us before we left that the break is an excellent opportunity to work hard so we come back in better shape than we left so that we are prepared for season. In order to do this, the team has a set number of required personal work outs or RPW’s. These consist of cardio, strength training and stretching. Doing gymnastics over the break is optional because it is more important to be in good physical shape so that the gymnastics will be easy when we come back to school on January 2nd.
