WIN $500 IN TWU TEXT BOOKS AT THE PIONEER BASKETBALL GAME ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 16
 DENTON, Texas (January 11) - Are you a Texas Woman’s University student looking for a way to pay for your text books this semester? If so, then make plans to attend the TWU home basketball game on Wednesday, January 16, at 7:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena and take part in the first annual TWU Text Book Shooting Contest.
At halftime of the Pioneers’ Lone Star Conference South Division game versus the ACU Wildcats, all TWU students in attendance will have the opportunity to shoot from halfcourt and win a $500 credit to be used on textbooks from the TWU bookstore.
Here’s how the TWU Text Book Shooting Contest will work:
- All TWU students that come to the game and wish to take part in the contest must sign up at the TWU promotions table in the main lobby of Magee Arena.
- At halftime, all of the students registered for the contest will form one line at half court and shoot to win the $500 textbook credit in the order that they signed up. The first person to sign up will shoot first, the second person to sign up will shoot second, and so on and so forth.
- Contestants might get more than one shot. The TWU Text Book Shooting Contest will be held for eight minutes or until someone makes a half court shot. The shooting order will remain the same throughout the contest.
The TWU promotions table will be set up and ready to sign contestants up for this contest at 6:00 p.m. Plan to sign up early in order to have the first crack at winning the $500 textbook credit prize.
