2007: Made 17 starts in the circle as a sophomore and compiled a 4-11 record…third on the team in ERA (5.83), innings pitched (97.1), strikeouts (48), appearances (21), and opponent batting average (.285)...won back-to-back starts on April 15 at Tarleton and April 21 versus Eastern New Mexico…top performance of the year came on February 17 when she allowed just two hits and struck out three in four innings of work in a 4-0 shutout win over Central Washington…fielded her position well, with six putouts, 36 assists, and nine pickoffs.
2006: Started 26 games as a freshman pitcher for the Pioneers...compiled a record of 10-15...made 11 appearances in relief for TWU...final ERA for the season was 3.94...led all TWU pitchers with 101 strikeouts...tossed 14 complete games...totaled 168.2 innings pitched...struck out a season-high seven batters on February 10 vs. Emporia State...perhaps her best effort of the season came on March 17 at Texas A&M-Kingsville when she pitched ten innings, allowing just three hits and no earned runs in a game that ended in a 2-2 tie...recorded her first win as a collegian on February 4 versus Cameron.
HIGH SCHOOL: Martin was a three-year letterwinner at Santa Fe High School…earned All-District honors with a 17-2 pitching record as the Indians were undefeated in district play and went to the UIL Class 4A regional finals as a senior…posted a 23-4 record from the circle in both her freshman and sophomore seasons…played club softball for the Texas High Voltage (2001-02) and Texas Connection (2003)…named to both the academic and athletic Who’s Who Among High School Students lists.
PERSONAL: A Marketing major...the daughter of Jeff Martin and Donna Gibbs…enjoys reading, antique shopping and playing hacky sack.
