2008: Will serve as the Pioneers' team captain during her senior season.
2007: Started all 59 (57 at shortstop/one each at first and third base) of the Pioneers’ games in her junior season…was one of just two TWU players (along with outfielder Amanda Emory) to start all of the club’s games in 2007…second on the team with a .273 batting average…tied for second on the Pioneer roster with 10 doubles and 23 runs batted in…her 23 runs scored were the third-most on the team and her 48 hits tied her for the third-highest on the squad…also had 193 plate appearances, 60 total bases, 11 walks, five stolen bases and a team-high two sacrifice flies …had eight multiple-hit games and five multiple- RBI games…strung together a five-game hit streak from February 25-March 3…collected three hits, scored two runs and stole a base in a 6-5 loss to CSU-Monterey Bay on February 15...led the Pioneers (and ranked fourth in the Lone Star Conference) with 132 assists…totaled 103 putouts and seven double plays on 253 chances.
2006: Made a significant impact in her first season at TWU...started 60 of the Pioneers’ 62 games...recorded a .249 batting average...seven hits went for extra bases (three doubles, one triple and three home runs)...totaled 26 runs batted in, the third most on the TWU team...also was third on the roster with eight sacrifice flies...posted six multiple-hit games and and nine multiple-RBI games...enjoyed a five game hitting streak Mar. 7-11...stole eight bases...was solid in the field with a .930 fielding percentage.
PRIOR TO TWU: Johnson played softball for one year (2005) at Oklahoma State University...saw action in 22 games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner in softball and also lettered in basketball at Keller High School…named to All-District 5-5A honorable mention team twice…earned All-State tournament team accolades as a shortstop…All-District 5-5A defensive player…Gatorade “Will to Win” Nominee…was team MVP…received NFCA Academic Award…played club softball for the Texas Elite.
PERSONAL: A Kinesiology major…the daughter of Rick and Dena Johnson...enjoys volunteering and shopping.
