GYMNASTICS TO HELP HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
DENTON , Texas – The Texas Woman’s University gymnastics team is scheduled to assist Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The Pioneers have split into two shifts, with the first group from 8-12 p.m. and the second from 1-5 p.m. They are working on a project at 336 Ruth Street in Denton .
"Our team made a goal to be more active in the community this year. This project looked like a fantastic opportunity for our team to give back to a well deserving local organization and family,” head coach Frank Kudlac said. “We may be out of our "skill" element on Saturday, but our energy and enthusiasm will more than make up for our level of house building skills. This is just one of several community service projects we are doing this year."
TWU starts the 2006 season with their annual Intrasquad meet on Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m.
