GYMNASTICS MEET RAISES MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
 DENTON , Texas – Texas Woman’s University promoted breast cancer awareness by wearing pink leotards during its recent quadrangular meet with New Hampshire, San Jose State and Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Jan. 21.
At the meet, fans were challenged to donate one dollar to support the fight against breast cancer for every score of 9.75 or better earned by the gymnasts. During the meet the teams combined to post 16 scores that qualified and $264.00 was collected for the Denton County chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Pioneer fans who were not able to attend the meet have asked how they can also participate in this challenge. Checks should be made payable to the North Texas Affiliate and mailed to 3900 West 15 th Street, Building 600, Plano, Texas 75075. Online donations to the Komen Foundation are also accepted at www.komen.org.
