Post 20 -- Week of March 21, 2005
Hello everyone!
This past week was our Spring Break Week. We spent a lot of
time in the gym!
We
worked very hard this week to clean up our routines. Everyone
is
looking good and doing really well. Thursday
was St. Patrick’s
Day and almost everyone wore green. Coach gave us an incentive,
whoever wore the most green got a prize. It was fun to see
everyone in green, which is my favorite color as well.
On
Saturday TWU and Auburn had a very successful meet. It was
the senior’s last regular season home meet. There
were many tears by all (Coaches, seniors, and underclassmen).
The underclassmen made signs with all the senior’s names
on them and hung them on the balcony. The coaches surprised
the seniors with action shot banners that hung from the balcony
as well. The banners will be moved to our practice gym and
start a new tradition.
Also on that night it was Breast Cancer Awareness night. Both
teams were wearing pink leotards to show support. TWU walked
out to start the meet with some breast cancer survivors.
It
was Parent’s Night as well. We ran into the stands
to give our parent’s flowers. It is always nice to recognize
our parent’s because they are the one’s who have
been with us through every step of our career. Additionally,
it was Alumni night and the celebration of the 10th anniversary
of the 1995 three-peat USAG Nationals Champions. It was an
honor for us as TWU athlete’s to have the alumni watching.
Over 20 alum’s came back to cheer us on!
This week, we are going to work hard and put some polish on
our routines for the Midwest Independent Conference Championships
that we host on Friday, March 25th at 6:00pm. We hope all our
fans will come support us!
Thanks to everyone for your support this season!
