Pioneer
Post 12 -- Week of Jan. 24, 2005
Hello everyone!
We’re
happy to finally announce that we voted for team captains
and two of our seniors, Jennifer Bolli, and Rachel
Goddard were selected! Jennifer and Rachel have been great
contributors to the TWU team for three years and we know they
will be great leaders too.
We began
classes this week, so we had to balance athletics and academics
for the first time this season. As a result,
our first road trip to Colorado Springs to face Air Force was
a little rocky with more falls than we would have liked. Despite
these “series of unfortunate events” during competition,
the team really stuck together and supported one another. However,
there were a few exciting moments to be proud of and now we
know what we need to focus on in preparation for our next meet.
Following the meet, we had the opportunity to celebrate Jennifer’s
22nd birthday while dining at TGI Friday’s.
We still have several teammates that are recovering from injuries
and illnesses and we are looking forward to having a complete
team at our next home meet on February 5th.
Please join us on Saturday night for what we expect will be
an exciting competition against Southeast Missouri State and
BYU!
