PIONEERS HOST NO. 4 LSU THIS SUNDAY
TWU to recognize PointBank and Denton Chamber members
DENTON,
Texas – The Texas Woman’s University gymnastics
team hosts the No. 4 LSU Tigers in a dual meet on March 13
in Kitty Magee Arena at 3:00 p.m. It is also appreciation day
for both PointBank employees and members of the Denton Chamber
of Commerce.
The Pioneers are ranked first in the USAG and Division II standings after posting
their best score of the season (195.950) at home against Utah State and their
top road score (191.425) at Oklahoma last week. The team is also in the top
five in each event including at the top of the vault standings. Individually,
TWU has one or two gymnasts in the top five in every event as well with Courtney
Arno in first place on the uneven bar standings.
PointBank donated the new gymnastics scoreboards this season which have enhanced
the arena with fan-friendly messages and displays of both team and individual
scores. During the meet, TWU will recognize PointBank President Raymond David
Jr. and Vice President Nancy Millichamp for their continued support and generosity.
All PointBank employees and their families will receive complimentary admission.
As part of Chamber of Commerce appreciation, all members and their families
will also receive complimentary admission to the meet. For both groups, children
in grades 9 through 12 will be charged 10 cents.
Sunday’s meet is the first of a three-meet homestand which includes a
March 19 dual meet with Auburn and the Midwest Independent Conference Championships
on March 25.
