RAMS WIN IN THREE OVER PIONEERS
FORT WORTH , Texas – Texas Wesleyan needed just three games to defeat Texas Woman’s in non-conference action.
The Pioneers (7-11, 1-1) weren’t able to keep up with the Rams (8-3) falling 19-30, 8-30 and 22-30.
“They are a good team but we can play with them. We couldn’t serve receive and get passes to our setter tonight,” head coach Shelly Barberee said. “The whole team struggled passing but we fought back in game three. Wesleyan is good non-conference competition. We have to look forward to Commerce and Southeastern because those count for us.”
Next, TWU is at Texas A&M-Commerce on Sept. 29 for a conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
