LUNA AND VINCENT NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
 DENTON , Texas – For their outstanding play in the postseason, Texas Woman’s University sophomore Romy Luna and freshman Aly Vincent were named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament team.
Luna hit the game winning penalty kick in the Pioneers first round victory over Texas A&M-Commerce in a shootout. She also scored in regulation to give TWU a 2-1 lead in the second half.
Vincent was in goal for every minute of the Pioneers two games. Against Commerce, she allowed two goals with seven saves in 120 minutes of action. Vincent stopped 13 shots in the loss to Central Oklahoma as well.
TWU also had seven players named to the all-conference team at the tournament banquet. Natalie  Grant earned second team accolades and Melissa Scott, Emily Meinen, Breann Morris, Melissa Williams, Sue Cribbes and Vincent were honorable mention selections. Head coach Fleur Benatar finished second to UCO’s Mike Cook for Coach of the Year honors.
