MEINEN RECEIVES CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
 DENTON , Texas – Texas Woman’s University junior Emily Meinen earned Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Meinen scored two goals in LSC games last week. She had the Pioneers only goal in a 3-1 loss to West Texas A&M. Meinen also scored the game-winner against Eastern New Mexico as TWU claimed their first-ever postseason tournament berth.
The Keller, Texas , native leads the team with eight goals this season. She has taken 44 shots with 24 on goal.
Meinen is the second Pioneer ever to be named Player of the Week. Earlier this year, Melissa Scott earned the honor.
Next, TWU plays Texas A&M-Commerce on Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the first round of the league tournament hosted by Central Oklahoma in Edmond , Okla.
