SCOTT EARNS LONE STAR CONFERENCE PLAYER OF WEEK HONORS
 DENTON , Texas – Senior Melissa Scott was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both goals in Texas Woman’s 2-0 victory over Angelo State last week.
The Denton, Texas, native scored her first goal in the seventh minute of action off a pass from Romy Luna. Scott scored again in the 49th minute by putting a corner kick in above the ASU goalkeeper. Scott scored one goal, the game-winner, against the Rambelles as a junior.
The Pioneers (5-2, 1-0) are off to their best start in the programs four-year history. Scott is the first TWU player to earn the league’s weekly honor.
TWU continues LSC play at Midwestern State on Sept. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
