HURRICANE RELIEF DONATIONS TOP $2,200

DENTON , Texas – The Texas Woman’s University Athletics department raised a total of $2,231.96 for the American Red Cross Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund.

The Pioneers collected donations from drivers and pedestrians on Sept. 7 in addition to contributing all proceeds from the volleyball match on Sept. 10.

“Our student-athletes and staff wanted to get involved in the relief efforts in some way,” Director of Athletics Chalese Connors said. “We’re happy to help and give back to those affected by Hurricane Katrina.”
