WIMBISH TAPPED AS LONE STAR CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 DENTON , Texas – Junior Margaret Wimbish was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Week for her performances last week.
Wimbish averaged 24.5 points and 10 rebounds per game as the Pioneers dropped two close contests. She posted her second double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 boards in a two-point loss to Sam Houston State. Wimbish posted a season-high 29 points with eight rebounds in a 52-63 loss to Southeastern Oklahoma State.
The Corpus Christi native made 19 of 30 field goals (63.3 percent) and added 2.0 blocks per game. For the season, Wimbish is the second highest scorer (18.3 ppg) and the third leading rebounder (9.0 rpg) in the LSC.
The Pioneers next game is Dec. 18 at Incarnate Word. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
