WIMBISH EARNS LSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
 DENTON , Texas – Texas Woman’s University junior Margaret Wimbish was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Wimbish averaged 27.5 points and 7.0 rebounds while leading the Pioneers to wins over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Incarnate Word. She made 15 of 22 field goals (68.2 percent) and 24 of 29 free throws (82.8 percent), getting a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds in TWU’s 64-57 LSC South victory over TAMUK. She added 26 points in 29 minutes of action in a 72-58 triumph over UIW.
The Corpus Christi native leads the Pioneers in scoring (20.3 per game) and rebounding (8.6 pg). She ranks second in the league in scoring and fourth in rebounding and field goal percentage (59.0 percent).
Next, the Pioneers travel to Cameron for a Lone Star Conference crossover game on Jan. 5 at 7:00 p.m.
