STRONG AND HIRSCH JOIN THE PIONEERS

DENTON , Texas – Keri Strong and Sarah Hirsch have joined the Texas Woman’s University Athletics staff.

Strong is the Pioneers’ assistant athletic trainer and Hirsch is the graduate assistant for the softball program.

Prior to joining the Pioneers, Strong was an athletic trainer at Keller High School. She supervised all sports and student trainers while administering care for over 1300 athletes. She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from TWU in 1998 while serving as a student athletic trainer. From 2001-05, she was an assistant trainer at the University of North Texas in charge of soccer while supervising softball, tennis, golf and swimming and diving. Strong received her master’s degree in kinesiology from UNT in 2004.

Hirsch hails from Las Vegas, Nevada. After high school, she attended and played softball at Taft Community College for one year. Then Hirsch transferred to the University of Southern Colorado, now Colorado State University-Pueblo, where she pitched and played first base for TWU Head Coach Marty Blower’s squad. Hirsch earned her bachelor’s degree from CSU-Pueblo in 2005 and is pursuing a master’s in special education from TWU.
