CONNORS NAMED CHAIR OF DIVISION II SOCCER COMMITTEE

DENTON , Texas – Texas Woman’s University Director of Athletics Chalese Connors was recently named chair of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Women’s Soccer Committee.

Connors begins the appointment on September 1. She has served on the committee as chair of the Midwest Region the past three years. Connors will spend the final year of her four-year term as national chair until September 2006.

The soccer committee members are responsible for selecting teams for the championships, setting the brackets for the championships, serving as the chairs for the regional advisory committees, attending the championships, and assisting in preparation of championship schedules and other event preparations.
