McBATH NAMED LONE STAR CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DENTON , Texas –Matalya McBath was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Week after recording a triple-double against Texas A&M-Kingsville last week.

McBath had 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Pioneers to an 82-75 victory. She made 10 of 17 field goals, including 2 of 3 from three-point range, and was 11 of 14 on free throws in the career-high scoring effort.

The Pioneers (6-3, 1-0) are in first place in the LSC South Division with the majority of conference contests beginning in January. After the holidays, TWU embarks on a seven-game road trip beginning at St. Edward’s on Dec. 30 at 5:30 p.m.
