About This Site

It is difficult to find a central point of access to scholarly and popular resources concerning women, crime, and criminal justice. There are many Internet sites and directories devoted to crime, criminal justice, and to crime victims. However, there is little direct access to scholarly and popular information available through the Internet concerning these issues as they relate to women. This site is intended to serve as a resource for researchers, practitioners, students, and anyone interested in the topic areas of women, crime, and criminal justice. This site is divided into relevant subject areas, including: general resources, women and law enforcement, international resources, domestic violence, crime victims resources, and links to on-line bibliographies.  Several bibliographies of published materials concerning women and crime are also available.

The development of this site was supported by the Texas Woman's University College of Arts and Sciences and the Texas Woman's University Law Enforcement Management Institute (L.E.M.I.).
Developed and maintained by Dr. Jim Williams. Department of Sociology and Social Work. Texas Woman's University. Denton, TX.  76204. U.S.A.  Direct comments or questions to Dr. Williams.
