$5000 Education Stipend

Participate in TWU’s IV-E Child Welfare Training Program

 
   The IV-E Child Welfare Training Program offers Social Work majors:
  • Future employment opportunities in Child Protective Services (CPS) with a starting salary of over $32,000.00 plus exceptional benefits, for BSW graduates.
  • Excellent experience applicable to careers with CPS or in other child welfare practice settings such as family and juvenile courts, schools, family support and preservation agencies, treatment programs, foster care and adoption agencies, hospitals, advocacy settings and/or in public policy arenas
  • Educational Stipend of $5000.00
    Child Welfare Training Program Participants:
  • Are Junior and Senior Social Work majors
  • Complete the Children's Rights and Services course (SOWK 3453)
  • Complete their senior-year field practicum with CPS
  • Contract to TDPRS/CPS for employment upon graduation with their BSW from TWU
